Roger McGuinn & John Sebastian (4/25)
A MUSIC HALL/MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS CO-PRESENTATION, SUPPORTED BY WFUV From their respective beginnings as leaders of the seminal 60’s bands, The Byrds and The Lovin’ Spoonful, these two legendary performers have forged musical careers characterized by elegant melodies, killer hooks, and thoughtful, intelligent lyrics. Roger McGuinn’s jangly Rickenbacker guitar is a defining sound of 60’s folk rock and is a direct influence on Tom Petty, REM, and the alternative country movement. As leader of The Lovin’ Spoonful, John Sebastian wrote and/or sang on the classic hits “Do You Believe in Magic” and “Summer in the City”. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008. Both are members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Westchester Symphonic Winds (5/8)
Curt Ebersole, conductor/music director. This volunteer adult community wind ensemble, now in its 22nd year, provides opportunities for players and audiences alike to enjoy the finest music for winds/percussion by award-winning composers, along with the area's finest soloists. All season long we are celebrating the most popular works of John Barnes Chance, with two works by this award-winning composer on each program. Featured works for this concert include Elegy and Symphony No. 2 by John Barnes Chance, and Casy at the Bat by Randol Alan Bass, with narration by Tom Morehouse. CHILDREN UNDER 10 FREE

A formidable harmonica player, he is a critics' darling and a favorite of his peers.
