Westchester Symphonic Winds (5/19)
Curt Ebersole, conductor/music director WSW's final concert for the season features music inspired by all types of dance, and music that invites us to move, march, and meander. Our assistant conductor, Matt Kowalski, will take the podium to conduct Puszta, by Jan van der Roost. Our guest conductor is Brian Worsdale, Music Director of the NYC ISO Symphonic Band and NYC Big Apple Corps Gay & Lesbian Symphonic Band, who will conduct Arabesque, by Samuel R. Hazo. Our guest soloist for this program is TSgt. Joseph Bello, euphonium, a member of the United States Air Force Ceremonial Brass. Other selections include: ABA Symphonic March, by John Cheetham; The Solitary Dancer, by Warren Benson; Gazebo Dances, by John Corigliano; San Antonio Dances, by Frank Ticheli; and Galop, by Dmitri Shostakovich.

Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of these 7 fine musicians. On any given night the band will perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead's 30 years of extensive touring or use their catalog to program a unique set list for the show.

PRESENTED BY JAZZ FORUM ARTS For two decades, the contemporary jazz quartet known as Fourplay has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of R&B, pop and a variety of other sounds to their unwavering jazz foundations. In the course of a dozen recordings – six of which have climbed to the top of Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Album charts – the supergroup has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad mainstream audience.
Crash Test Dummies' Brad Roberts with Rob Morsberger (6/3)
A TRIBES HILL BENEFIT PRESENTATION Featuring the premiere performance of "Midnight Garden", a song cycle with string accompaniment written by multi-Grammy Award nominee Brad Roberts and acclaimed composer Rob Morsberger. This special concert is a benefit for Rob and his family to help offset medical expenses due to a severe illness. Tribes Hill artists will open the show with a few songs, followed by Rob and his band performing new material from his recent release, "Ghosts Before Breakfast". During the day Tribes Hill will present regional artists performing for the 25th Annual Tarrytown Street Fair under the Music Hall marquee.

A MUSIC HALL/MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS CO-PRESENTATION Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dr. John, who brings with him over twenty five albums and five Grammy awards of experience, returns to the Music Hall . Playing professionally since the 1950’s, Dr. John is one of the biggest acts to ever come out of New Orleans, and last year’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was testament to what he has meant to our country’s musical heritage. His latest release "Locked Down" was produced by The Black Keys’ guitarist and longtime Dr. John admirer Dan Auerbach.

The predominant musical force behind such Mac albums as Rumours and the innovative Tusk, he also as a body of solo work that yielded the hits, “Trouble,” “Go Insane,” and “Holiday Road.”

Buddy Guy / Robert Randolph (6/16)
A MUSIC HALL/MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS CO-PRESENTATION, SUPPORTED BY WFUV Jimi Hendrix once famously remarked that, “Heaven is lying at Buddy Guy's feet while listening to him play guitar." Ranked 30th on Rolling Stone’s "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list, the five-time Grammy Award winner has influenced titans such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Hendrix.
In the hands of pedal steel guitar virtuoso Robert Randolph and his Family Band, the "sacred steel" style has become a bridge between modern American funk/soul and the ancestral songs of more than a century ago. Randolph set the music world on fire in 2000 when he began playing his first club dates in New York City. Since then, he and his group, The Family Band have been playing to packed houses all around the world.

Two decades later, Sweet has once again swung for the fences—and connected—with the boldly experimental yet still deeply personal Modern Art.
