Laurie's holiday shows have become a seasonal tradition for many families, as essential as sleigh rides, snowmen, and hot cocoa by the fireside. Laurie Berkner & The Laurie Berkner Band celebrate the season with such traditional secular songs as “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty the Snowman,” plus originals from Laurie’s well-loved albums A Laurie Berkner Christmas and Another Laurie Berkner Christmas like “Santa’s Coming to My House Tonight” and “I Live Inside a Snowglobe (Shake it Up).” Laurie and the band pay tribute to Hanukkah with “Candle Chase” and “The Dreidel Song.” They also perform an array of Laurie’s greatest hits, such as “We Are the Dinosaurs,” “Victor Vito,” and “Pig On Her Head.”
All of Laurie Berkner’s concerts showcase an array of tunes that encourage kids and grownups alike to get up and dance. Professional dancer Michelle Esch will join Laurie onstage in Tarrytown, enhancing the musical and visual experience by modeling movements that invite even more participation. Kids should plan to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads). Laurie hopes everyone will join in the holiday spirit and dance and sing along! Show runs approximately 60 – 75 minutes.
