Is new music from the 1960’s different from new music in the 2020’s? We’ll examine these perspectives with Trittico by Vaclav Nelhybel and Bamboo Shoots and City Streets by Benjamin Barker. Our tuba soloist, SSG Keith Kile (West Point Band) will perform the unique concerto, Through a Window, by James Beckel. Guest conductor Jasmine Britt will offer her interpretation of Here We Rest, by Anthony Barfield. Apprentice conductor Devon Toland will lead Danzas Cubanos, by Robert Sheldon. Other works include: Towers of Bloom, by Kelijah Dunton, conducted by Assistant Conductor Jessica Stein-Natale, and Sheltering Sky, by John Mackey.
