Countdown To Reopening

Yes, You Can Count On Me!
Happy New Year! The new year brings with it hope for a better, brighter days ahead. We look forward to welcoming you back to our historic, nonprofit theater for your favorite music and performances.
To prepare for this happy occasion, we have identified steps needed to reopen successfully. In accordance with New York State’s Department of Health guidelines, these steps include improved air filtration, contactless methods for ticket and merchandise sales, personal protective equipment, reconfiguration of circulation spaces, and more. The Music Hall is seeking continued support to complete these necessary steps and get ready to raise our curtain again.
Last year changed everything at The Music Hall. Live performance venues, like ours, were the first to close in mid-March. Since then we have worked tirelessly to withstand these many months without any of the ticket income we have always relied on to reinvest in our theater. We continue to need your support to adapt our theater for the future. Now is the time to participate and help us make the changes needed to provide you with a safe environment and keep the music alive.
Please help kick-start the new year with a donation so we can make sure our historic theater will continue to be a vital part of the cultural fabric of our region. We hope you’ll be a part of this critically important Music Hall effort.
Gratefully,
Sheila Emery Murphy

New Charitable Tax Deduction Rules: The Federal Government’s CARES ACT {sections 2204 & 2205} has changed rules so that individual donors can now take an above-the-line charitable deduction of up to $300 without having to itemize taxes. For other individual donors, 100% of individual cash gifts can now be deducted against adjusted gross income. For corporations, the 10% limitation is increased to 25% of taxable income.
Gifts of Stock & Mutual Funds: These are a tax smart alternative to cash donations and perhaps the most cost-effective assets to use in making a gift. Click here to download transfer instructions for gifts of stock & mutual funds to The Music Hall.
Matching Gifts: Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match most charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company has a match program you may be able to double or triple your gift!
The Music Hall is owned, operated & loved by The Friends Of The Mozartina, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization.
