The celebrated singer/songwriters return to the Music Hall! The concert will feature both artists performing side by side, alternating songs from their respective careers. Utilizing their dynamic chemistry to swap stories and songs, fans can expect a rare “unplugged” evening of entertainment.  Lyle Lovett, singer, songwriter, actor and four-time Grammy Award-winner, has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums over three decades. Coupled with his unique gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of Americana, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner. John Hiatt, a master lyricist and satirical storyteller, weaves hidden plot twists into fictional tales ranging in topics including redemption, relationships, growing older and surrendering, on his terms. Hiatt's songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt ("Thing Called Love"), Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash (#1 country hit, "The Way We Make A Broken Heart"), the Jeff Healey Band ("Angel Eyes") and even the cartoon bear band of Disney's film, The Country Bears.

Alan Parsons, eleven-time Grammy nominated legendary music icon & sonic master of Progressive Rock brings his Alan Parsons Live Project to the Music Hall for the first time.  The Alan Parsons Project are known for their concept albums (including adaptations of Poe and Asimov books) with a revolving cast of musicians. Released in 1982, Eye in the Sky was their greatest success; the title track charted in the Top Ten on the pop charts and the album went platinum. Alan has been leading the way regarding technology, blending tech with art for his craft as a recording engineer and producer-performer. Compiling years of expertise into his book (and DVD set), “The Art & Science of Sound Recording”, he has created a work unlike anything else available in the marketplace

The Bagpipes meet Rock n' Roll - A Global phenomenon! Since they walked away with the top prize on the primetime TV talent show, “When Will I Be Famous” in the U.K. in 2007, The Chillis taking their signature 'Bagrock' sound to the masses with their unique fusion of rocked up Bagpipes and clever covers of popular songs from all genres. Their trademarked sound includes traditional pipe tunes – like “The Flowers of Scotland”, “The Hills of Argyll”, and “Amazing Grace” (done Chilli-style, of course!) -- and contemporary anthems like Queen’s “We Will Rock You”, “Clocks” by Coldplay, “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol, “Let Me Entertain You” by Robbie Williams, and a fantastic rock medley of “Deep Purple”, “Smoke on the Water”, and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. It’s Bagpipes. It’s Rock. It’s Bagrock. AC/DC meets the poet Robert Burns. It’s The Red Hot Chilli Pipers -- an 9-piece ensemble consisting of pipers, guitarists, keyboards, and drummers -- who have been rocking the world from New York to Beijing to Melbourne and everywhere in between with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that will leave you breathless. The band has four music degrees from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and all the pipers and drummers have played at the top level in bagpiping.

Natalie Merchant and Lúnasa (3/16)

Natalie Merchant will perform a set of her own songs accompanied by Erik Della Penna on guitar and then after an intermission, she'll join Lúnasa as a special guest on six songs during their set. 
Natalie Merchant recently joined her friends in Lúnasa as a “special guest” for four shows in their native Ireland in August following her own UK Tour.  We are lucky to welcome them all to the States in this very special performance! Lúnasa is currently on tour celebrating the band’s 20th Anniversary. Their new album Cas is available now via the band’s online store. Natalie makes an appearance on the track “The Bonny Light Horseman.” Natalie and Lúnasa first collaborated on her 2010 release Leave Your Sleep. Lúnasa is composed of Kevin Crawford (flutes, low whistles and tin whistles), Trevor Hutchinson (double bass), Ed Boyd (guitar), Seán Smyth (fiddle and low whistle) and Cillian Vallely (uilleann pipes and low whistles). Lúnasa have sold more than quarter of a million albums in the course of the band’s career and boast an impressive back catalogue of 7 highly acclaimed and award-winning studio albums.
