Nick Lowe's Quality Rock & Roll Revue starring Los Straitjackets (4/12/19)

Nick Lowe's Quality Rock & Roll Revue starring Los Straitjackets

A Music Hall/Music Without Borders Co-presentation
Special Guest: Dawn Lades
Nick Lowe has made his mark as a producer (Elvis Costello-Graham Parker-Pretenders-The Damned), songwriter of at least three songs you know by heart, short-lived career as a pop star, and a lengthy term as a musicians’ musician. But in his current ‘second act’ as a silver-haired, tender-hearted but sharp-tongued singer-songwriter, he has no equal.Starting with 1995′s ‘The Impossible Bird’ through to 2011′s ‘The Old Magic,’ Nick has turned out a fantastic string of albums, each one devised in his West London home, and recorded with a core of musicians who possess the same veteran savvy. Lowe brings wit and understated excellence to every performance, leading Ben Ratliff of the New York Times to describe his live show as “elegant and nearly devastating.”

Tusk - The World's #1 Fleetwood Mac Tribute (4/18/19)

Tusk

A Music Hall/Music Without Borders Co-presentation
Tusk is the number one Tribute to Fleetwood Mac in the world, bar none. No wigs, no backing tracks, no gimmicks, just five musicians recreating the music of Fleetwood Mac to perfection with note for note renditions that no other Fleetwood Mac tribute on the touring scene today can come close to duplicating. Tusk covers all the great hits of Fleetwood Mac, which has featured the talents of Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and others over the years. The five seasoned, well-respected musicians comprising Tusk have been making music together in various combinations and styles, in original outfits and in cover bands, for over twenty-five years. It seemed only fitting that they should come together to form the Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, and pay homage to a group that dominated the charts during the band members’ formative years. Authentic-sounding and always respectful, Tusk leaves no stone unturned in replicating the sounds of one of the world’s best-loved, top-selling bands.

The Lords of 52nd Street

A Music Hall/Music Without Borders Co-presentation
The Lords of 52nd Street are Billy Joel’s original band.. The Lords of 52nd Street are the legendary bandmates who recorded and toured the world for many years with the “Piano Man.” They helped to create one of the most recognizable sounds in music recording the sax, drum and guitar solos on over 150 million albums sold with Billy Joel as well. The band is led by Richie Cannata on tenor saxophone, Liberty DeVitto on drums and percussion, and Russell Javors on rhythm guitar. Their collaboration helped change the face of music. They have worked individually with multi-platinum artists, lending their talents to some of the greatest musicians in the world. After 30+ years the band has finally reunited, and haven’t missed a step with this mind blowing show. Critics love them and their performances have been blowing away fans of all ages.

Michelle Wolf (5/2/19)

Michelle Wolf

A Music Hall/Music Without Borders Co-presentation
Michelle Wolf has quickly become one of the most influential voices in the comedy landscape as she continues on the path of a breakout year, with the Village Voice calling her “the voice comedy needs right now” and The Daily Beast declaring, “Michelle Wolf is the future of stand-up comedy.” She recently served as the executive producer, writer, and host of the critically-acclaimed variety sketch series “The Break with Michelle Wolf” on Netflix. Previously, she made international headlines as the much buzzed-about headliner of the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner. Wolf debuted her first hour-long stand-up special, “Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady”, on HBO late last year. The well-reviewed special tackled a wide range of topics from her surprising thoughts on feminism, the environment and why Hilary Clinton could not be a “nice lady,” and more of life’s everyday absurdities. She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special. Wolf was previously as an on-air contributor and writer for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”

Felix Cavaliere's Rascals (5/3/19)

Felix Cavaliere's Rascals

A Music Hall/Music Without Borders Co-presentation
The message has always been to stand for peace, love, and happiness. For legendary singer songwriter, Felix Cavaliere, making people feel good is primary to his illustrious 50-year career that includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and Grammy Hall of Fame. Few artists can claim they defined a generation; FELIX CAVALIERE continues to remind us to keep listening for the world’s beauty.  Early in 1965, FELIX CAVALIERE formed the ‘Young Rascals’ with Dino Danelli, Eddie Brigati, and Gene Cornish. That October, they caught the attention of promoter/manager Sid Bernstein with their high-energy set at Long Island’s elite club, Barge. Signed to Atlantic Records, and now called The Rascals, the mega hit “Good Lovin’” struck No. 1 in February 1966. They followed suit with a string of hits like “I’ve Been Lonely Too Long,” “Groovin’(No. 1 in 1967), “How Can I Be Sure,” “A Girl Like You,” “A Beautiful Morning,” and “People Got to Be Free” (No. 1 in 1968). The Rascals are considered the best ‘blue-eyed soul’ group to come out of the 1960s, as well as one of the groups with the most record sales.
