Yardbirds/Vanilla Fudge (2/8)
Performance Date: 02/08/2012, 8:00 pm

A MUSIC HALL/MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS CO-PRESENTATION
The Yardbirds are more than a rock band; they are an institution. Known as the band that honed the skills of future “guitar gods” Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page; they also had a slew of chart hits, including “Shapes Of Things,” “For Your Love,” “Heart Full of Soul”, “I’m A Man,” and “Over Under Sideways Down”. Led by core members and songwriters Jim McCarty (drums), Chris Dreja (rhythm guitar/bass).

Beginning in 1967, Vanilla Fudge rocked the world with a new sound, influencing a generation of musicians and creating a legion of loyal fans. This tour features three of the four original members: Mark Stein, Carmine Appice and Vince Martell. This band was one of the few American links between psychedelia and what was to became heavy metal. Their biggest hit was a cover of "You Keep Me Hangin' On”.
